Liverpool sealed the signing of one of the brightest young prospects in Europe, Lazar Markovic from Benfica.
The Serbian became third attacking player to join Reds this summer as Brendan Rodgers looks to reinforce his side after the departure of talisman Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Without doubt, defense has been Liverpool’s main concern last season but for now replacing Suarez should be the key dilemma.
There is no direct replacement for the Uruguayan international who won the European golden boot with the Reds last season scoring 31 league goals.
However, BR can set up a productive attack with his new players and more importantly, the merseysiders will have quality depth as well with playmakers like Sterling and Coutinho already there and other promising stars like Suso and Ibe.
Reds have normally used diamond 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-2-3-1 formation last season. With so many offensive signings and Suarez gone, expect 4-2-3-1 to be utilized more where Sturridge will be playing as a lone striker upfront.
Markovic can play anywhere but claimed that he will prefer the left hand side. Sterling proved to be revelation last season playing in numerous positions and mainly through the center. Moreover, new signing Adam Lallana is another versatile playmaker who has been utilized out-wide as well as centrally so Rodgers has many options.
Here is how Liverpool will line up with Lazar Markovic next season.
