Sanchez Case Explained – Liverpool vs Man United vs Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez FC BarcelonaBarcelona playmaker Alexis Sanchez is linked with a move away from Nou Camp and highly likely that he will move to premier league with several top clubs interested.
However, the the transfer saga surrounding the Chilean international is complex with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United eager to hire his services for next season.
Who needs Sanchez more? Who Sanchez prefers more? Which club is the best possible option, the case is separately discussed for each club below.
Liverpool
The merseysiders are all prepared for the departure of star player Luis Suarez. Although, Liverpool will get a huge transfer fee for their prized asset yet there is no direct replacement for Uruguayan international.
However, in Alexis Sanchez, Liverpool can get like for like signing as far as playing positions are concerned. He scored 19 goals in 34 league appearances last season mainly playing on the right flank for Barca. Moreover, scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in the World Cup playing as a secondary striker.
Suarez covered the same positions, played on either flank or SS with Sturridge and also as a central forward in Daniel’s absence. So, Sanchez signing will be brilliant, his quality is undeniable and even after luring him, Liverpool can sign more players of the sum they will get from Suarez’s sale.
For Alexis, Liverpool play flowing attacking football that might be different from Catalan giants but the triangles setup and passing style will perfectly suit him as it did with Barcelona.
Arsenal
No one can deny that Arsenal need an out and out striker more than any other signing this summer. They only have one senior striker in Giroud and even the French star is nowhere near the best strikers.
However, they seem really interested in luring Sanchez. Although, Gunners have so many palymakers in the side, still they lack someone who can regularly score and setup goals. Sanchez completely fits the bill.
Again, signing Sanchez will only be fruitful if they do sign a quality striker as well. Although he can also play centrally but not a lone striker as that will limit him and he is best in a free role.
Over the years Arsenal have been renowned for playing some beautiful passing football and again that will surely attract and suit Sanchez.
Manchester United
The Red Devils have a new manager and are looking to build a new look squad. Their priority is to improve midfield and defense first and they are already onto it with the signings of Herrera and Shaw.
However, United need quality depth in attack. Mata and Rooney are world class, Januzaj is for the future, Kagawa needs his chance but the likes Nani and Valencia are past it. More than a few players linked with move away from the club and a player like Sanchez is needed who will largely improve their attack as well.
As far as Sanchez’s preference is concerned, playing style is secondary with Man United, first he has to decide whether he is ready to quit Champions League which is highly unlikely for a player of that caliber. Still, United can surely pay higher wages than Liverpool and Arsenal and can tempt him to move for the money. Will he be interested, we shall see.

Manchester united is the right destination.

  2. Chris the kop says:

I dont get how alexis sanchez dont want to play for liverpool we played the best football last season and i know we will be better and we need to replace suarez and sanchez is the perfect man we finished above arsenal and we could of beenn 5 nil up in 18 mins at anfield we play better football then arsenal YNWA#

With Suarez leaving I expect many of the Liverpool targets to “think twice” about joining the reds. Rodgers will have his work cut out but i do think that once they have another solid season and end in the UCL places, next season players will want to join them. Sale of Suarez while it makes great business and image wise appears to weaken Liverpool a great deal.

    • b says:

Yous played better towards the end of the season arsenal had top spot most of the season then liverpool did what they always do fail to win he will join arsenal cause liverpool are undercheivers they had one good ish season arsenal always finish above them every season bar one liverpool will never finish that high again tha shite arsenal better team all round nxt season will prove it FACT

      • danny says:

Seek help you idiot. Liverpool will never win but arsenal will? Arsenal will never never never be anywhere close to winning champions league. NEVER. And in the end it must be more fun to play in front of FANS, still a library

  3. Joel says:

Quite a lot of players want to play in London as they prefer the lifestyle over the football. As sad as it is

I’m guessing he is looking at more then Liverpool’s solitary tilt at a title challenge in the past two and a half decades coupled with the fact that you won’t have Suarez next season hence making you half the team that you were last season

    • Colorad says:

Im guessing he will be looking at the current scenario instead of going back into history which obviously only Liverpool have better than Barcelona. Surely Arsenal did not even come as close as Liverpool came to the title in the last 9 years
So the current scenario also favors Liverpool. They should do fine without Suarez, they won 7 of the 9 league games when Suarez was banned for biting Ivanovic and yea that was without Sanchez as well EH. so add Sanchez to that mix and Liverpool will do well.

      • Cosmas Ogbusu says:

…..looking at the current form. On current form, Arsenal is the club for Sánchez. Of the three clubs in contention, Arsenal is the only club on the ascendancy. Man Utd has dangerously regressed in the last year and are currently rebuilding. Your guess is as good as mine when you do a la Tottenham rebuilding!
Liverpool, despite not playing champions league and exiting early in the domestic cups, simply made an unsuccessful attempt at the league title but capitulated. Arsenal is the club in form and consistency. A new phase of silverware era has just started with the FA cup.
Once again, Arsenal is it for you, Sanchez.

        • carl says:

Arsenal the serial bottlers, on the ascendancy lol, its the same bs again and again, pathetic.
Every year you say your going to win the league, every year you say you play the best football,
Every year your bluff is called, and every year you just about scrape 4th, your not even going to
manage that this year. Because United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea are taking top four. All are
So not even the 4th placed trophy to hide behind.

  5. karim kromah says:

No team needs Sanchez more than Man United, Forget about Champions League, all these players need is money. We will pay good wages

  6. Arsenal suit him very well imagine the formation of walcot ozil sanchez podosky upfront with rambo behind them

  7. Cosmas Ogbusu says:

Sánchez will seamlessly fit into Arsenal due to the similarity of play with his current club, Barcelona. Liverpool plays champions league once in a while so for a consistent champions league, Arsenal is the club for him.

  8. Wilson says:

I prefer Alexis over Di Maria and James Rodriguez. please Van Gaal sign Sanchez and Depay Memphis for man utd. Sanchez to replace christiano Ronaldo and Memphis to replace Ryan Giggs otherwise if u let them sign for rivals we shall face it rough in their display next season.

  9. andrew clayton says:

If he wants money- He will go to Man Utd
If he is after the London scene he will go to Arsenal.
If he wants his footballing career to progress and become a football legend, then he will choose Liverpool.
    Simple

  10. Nabil El-Hissi says:

I’m not a Man Utd fan (life long Milanista) but with Van Gaal at the helm i expect great things from them and Sanchez would surely be an upgrade on the existing players AND would mean better football from the dreary drab that we saw last season.

  11. Olusegun Moses says:

Arsenal-Alexis axis is as good as anything. AW, get your man and show the world we’ve got the financial power!

  12. David says:

It’s down to John Henry to stop Sanchez going to any Premier League club other than Liverpool by demanding that Barcelona (or any Suarez prospective employer) pay the maximum amount required by a release clause (if indeed one exists – Suarez said not) in one lump sum. They should also insert a big sell-on fee in any contract of sale before agreement. That would sicken the big shots!
Of course if Sanchez were part of the sale those could be dispensed with. It would amount to crass stupidity to sell our top player and allow one of theirs to strengthen a BPL competitors team.

  13. Gareth Chai says:

How much salary can we pay Sanchez? That’s right, we can afford to go as high as Suarez’s previous pay 250k a week, something neither Arsenal or Utd can match. So Utd fan’s high wage offer is pointless, we got a possibly higher wage offer plus CL. May be too high, but the fact that we got an adequate replacement and sold Suarez without strengthening our rivals Arsenal and City has got to be worth it.

  14. sadiq says:

Liverpoolfc is simply the best place for Sanchez. I wonder why he doesn’t want to head to anfield. May be he’s afraid of the task on him been a replacement for Suarez. He might also be making these comments to heat up the transfer saga on him in order to increase his value in terms of wage. Sanchez will be in Liverpoolfc this coming season.

  15. Donloui says:

Sanchez should go to Liverpool because their football culture will make him a better player.

  16. Raphic Seeker says:

we might not enjoy champions league next season, but believe you me Sanchez will come running to Man Utd even if all teams made the exact same offer …..we’ve got REAL CLASS …..glory glory man utd

  17. lou says:

Liverpool need him more. of all tge managers last season, the only one that allowed creativity to thrive was brendan rogers. wenger is too stuck up and we dont quite know that much on van gaal. plus hes really young and just as fast as sterling and Sturridge so sss will work seamlessly

  18. uso says:

Naturally as a Liverpool fan, I would want him to sign for the reds, there is basically not much difference between the three teams as he will drastically improve any team he goes to and he will always propel them to challenge for the title, but Liverpool need him most cause they are losing suarez, his wages will be an issue.

  19. Success says:

    Liverpool best for him.
