Man United eye Quality CBs to Replace Legendary Duo

Manchester United are set to have a new look squad next season as the club looks for quality players to arrive.
With many new faces coming in, more than a few old ones are going out as well. Ferdinand and Vidic, the rock solid defensive partnership over the years has ended as both played their last games for the club against Southampton.
Other than that, the likes of Evra, Nani, Valencia etc are also linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Defense has been one of Man United’s major concern last season and the new manager, who is expected to be Louis van Gaal has targeted few players to reinforce that department.
They have been chasing Southamtpon’s Luke Shaw from the time when David Moyes was in charge and continue the pursuit even now to lure the England left back.
However, the Red Devils need to build another solid center-back partnership for long term to be brilliant next season and the years to come.
Mirror have revealed that Manchester United are eyeing quality CBs to replace legendary duo of Vidic and Ferdinand.
The players in discussion are Mats Hummels of Borussia Dortmund who is perhaps Louis van Gaal’s favorite defender that he wants at Old Trafford.
Moreover, the Dutch manager wants his compatriot Bruno Martins Indi of Feyenoord to partner the German international and Devils look to lure him as well.
Hummels 25, and Martins 22 can form a solid partnership at the back for Manchester United with their best years ahead of them.
