Champions League-winning manager monitoring Jose Mourinho's position

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly open to the possibility of replacing Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, should they require a change during the campaign. The Frenchman is presently on the watch for a new vacancy after he decided to part ways with Los Blancos in the summer after winning three straight Champions League titles.
According to The Mirror, the former World Cup winner is looking into the difficult situation at Old Trafford and he is prepared to take over the reigns, should they fancy a change in management. Moreover, the Frenchman believes he can bring a sense of stability around the club and he is impressed with the financial backing for Jose Mourinho and his predecessor Louis van Gaal.
Despite this, United are not currently considering the dismissal of Mourinho and he continues to receive the entire support from the hierarchy despite a poor start to the season. United seemingly begun on the right path after securing a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Leicester City but things have since gone pear-shaped for them with back-to-back losses to Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur.
Up next, the Red Devils are scheduled to face Burnley on the road and that remains a game where they should fancy three points, considering the Clarets had a midweek Europa League clash versus Olympiakos. If they are to experience another defeat, Mourinho’s future could come under question further and the international break forthcoming could spark more uncertainty regarding his position at the helm.
Mourinho went with a three-at-the-back formation during the recent 3-0 defeat to Tottenham but the 55-year-old is likely to revert to the conventional 4-3-3 setup to compensate for an additional attacker in the ranks. Alexis Sanchez only came off the bench in recent Spurs defeat and he could be among those starting from the off versus Sean Dyche’s side.
