Luis Enrique wants £200m transfer warchest upon Arsenal arrival?

Former Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has reportedly placed his demands for a £200m transfer kitty, if he is to succeed Arsene Wenger as the new Arsenal manager in the summer.
The 47-year-old has been on a 12-month sabbatical following his departure from Barcelona last summer but he is widely expected to take up a managerial role ahead of next season.
With this in regard, Enrique has emerged as the favourite to take up the vacancy with the Gunners after Wenger announced that he would be stepping down from his head coach role next month.
According to The Sun, Enrique is prepared to demand a transfer warchest of around £200m as he plans to ‘rip through the first-team squad’ ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
The report adds that only the positions of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are safe and the remaining players could be fighting for their respective positions.
Arsenal have always been an attack-minded team who have qualified regularly for the Champions League but of late, they have been found short especially at the back with Laurent Koscielny dropping his performance levels.
Apart from the standing captain, there are also issues relating to his defensive partner Shkodran Mustafi as well as the central midfield and Enrique is seemingly keen on recruiting Radja Nainggolan to bolster the centre of the park.
The north London outfit have yet to formally announce any sort of agreement with Enrique but The Sun suggests that the Spaniard would command a similar wage to Wenger during the course of his current contract.
After much criticism, Wenger signed a fresh two-year contract worth £9m a year last summer and the club’s hierarchy may have to comply with an equivalent financial agreement for Enrique.
