Liverpool officially agreed a deal to sign Naby Keita from Leipzig for next season and the player will join the club on July, 1st.
However, the Reds have sold Coutinho, who mainly played in the midfield this season and in such a scenario, the Reds are prepared to seal the signing of Keita this month.
According to Mirror, Liverpool agreed a deal worth 55 million pounds (€62million) in the summer and they are ready to pay extra to lure the Guinean midfielder in the January transfer window.

The British source have mentioned that the 22-year-old versatile midfielder is keen to seal his move to Liverpool now but Leipzig have other ideas.
The German club are 5th in the Bundesliga at the moment, level on points with 3rd place Dortmund, 4th place Leverkusen and 6th place Monchengladbach. Losing Keita now would a big blow for Leipzig as they look to earn CL qualification again.
Like Coutinho, Naby can effectively play in the central midfield and also in the attacking third. He has also proved to be strong in the defensive midfield position as well. In the current campaign, so far, he has scored 5 goals in 20 appearances.
In your opinion, should Liverpool splash the cash to lure Keita this month.
