Deal Close – Liverpool to Secure $66million Signing – Report

Liverpool confirmed yesterday that they have agreed to sell Coutinho and soon after, Bein Sports came up with a report claiming that the Reds are close to signing a replacement for the Brazilian.
Bein Sports France report that Liverpool are in the the process of securing the signature of Algerian international Riyad Mahrez. The Leicester star’s medical is expected to be done today, he will sign a four year deal until 2022 and Liverpool will pay a fee of 55 million euros ($66million) to seal his signing.
Coutinho was sensational for the Reds this season and Klopp needs to replace him with a proven quality star. Mahrez completely fits the bill. Two seasons back, he became the first African star to win the PFA POTY award.

Liverpool need to make a big statement by signing a big player to replace the Brazilian international. They wasted the sum earned from Suarez’s sale on players like Lambert, Balotelli and Markovic and Klopp must not do that this time around.
Mahrez is naturally a right winger but he can effectively play in the central attacking midfield position as well.
If he does end up moving to Anfield, we can expect him to line up with two other African players Salah and Mane behind Fimrino in a 4-2-3-1 system. In your opinion, is Riyad good enough to replace Phil at Anfield?

I think he(ryhad) is good. He can play from the right, while salah plays centrally.
