Arsenal Willing to Splash Cash for Daniele Rugani

Arsenal are virtually out of the title race and they must strengthen their squad to earn Champions League qualification for next season.
The North Londoners are linked with more than a few quality stars. Yesterday, we covered a report (via Super Deportivo) claiming that the Gunners are ready to splash the cash to sign Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven.
As far as the defense is concerned, Arsenal do need a new center half with Mertesacker retiring at the end of the season and reports suggest that Italian international Daniele Rugani is wanted.

According to Italian source Il Posticipo, Arsenal are ready to spend a fee worth 40 million euros ($47.4million) to hire the 23-year-old Azzurri star, who has so far featured 4 times for the national side.
Rugani was supposed to replace Bonucci in the starting lineup but this season, he has mainly warmed the bench under the management of Allegri.
Out of 17 league games in the current campaign, Daniele has only featured 10 times, scored a goal and provided an assist as well.
