Manchester United are looking to improve their attack in the upcoming January transfer window and a certain Chelsea player is linked with the Old Trafford club.
According to Daily Mail, Mourinho has made an early move to sign Willian by inquiring about him from the Blues ahead of the January transfer window.
The Brazilian international was a key member of Jose’s Chelsea team that won the Premier League title in 2014-15. However, under the management of Antonio Conte, the former Shakhtar playmaker has not started regularly.

In the current campaign, the 29-year-old star has featured in 25 games for the Stamford Bridge club, scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists. However, it must be noted that he has only started 12 times in all competitions.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Willian is not about happy about the fact that he is not starting regularly and knows that Jose Mourinho likes him a lot.
The British source further claim that United have posted their interest but Chelsea do not want to offload Willian in January unless they receive a mammoth offer.
Not to forget, the Blues let Matic leave the club to join the Red Devils in the summer transfer window, therefore, seeing Willian move to United will not surprise anyone.
The Samba star’s current deal with Chelsea will expire in 2020 and he earns (Telegraph) around £120,000-a-week ($160,000-a-week).
