Man Utd have Made Offer to Sign $59million Center Back – Report

Manchester United splashed the cash to sign center half Eric Bailly from Villareal last year. This year, they spent a decent sum to sign another center back in the form of Lindelof from Benfica.
Not to forget, the Red Devils also have stars like Jones, Smalling, Rojo and Blind, who can effectively play in the central defense. Therefore, United do not need another center back.
However, reports are linking the Old Trafford club with a talented Ajax defender in the form of Matthijs de Ligt.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United are one of the clubs who have made an offer for the 18-year-old Dutch international, who regularly starts for Ajax.
This season, he has so far played 20 games for the Eredivisie club, scored 2 goals and provided one assist.
The Spanish source have mentioned that other top European clubs are interested in signing the teenage starlet as well and Marc Overmars has already made it clear that Matthijs will only be sold for a fee worth 50 million euros ($59million) taking into consideration that Davinson Sanchez was sold last summer for 40 million euros to Spurs.
