Liverpool Plan Big Money Move to Sign Star – Contact Made in August

Liverpool were mainly interested in signing Naby Keita in the summer transfer window and then ended up securing a deal for the Guinean international, who will eventually join next summer.
The Reds were also linked with another African midfielder in the form of Ivorian international Jean Michael Seri, who plays for French side Nice.
Back in August, we covered a report (via The Guardian) claiming that Liverpool made contact with the Ligue 1 side to hire the services of Seri, however, the versatile midfielder eventually stayed put.

Now, according to Daily Mail, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City are plotting big money moves for the 26-year-old star.
The Merseysiders badly need a rock solid defensive midfielder in the team and that role can be effectively played by Jean Michael Seri.
This season, Seri has mainly played in the DM role for Nice and in 17 appearances (all competitions), he has netted 1 goal and provided 4 assists.
The British source have mentioned that even PSG are interested in Seri, but he mainly wants a move to the Premier League.
