Liverpool were heavily interested in signing French international and Monaco star Thomas Lemar in the summer transfer window but the move could not happen.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds are looking to finally sign the left winger in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Earlier this month, we covered a report (via L’Equipe) claiming that the Merseysiders are ready to make a move to sign the Les Bleus star in January.

Now, Independent have claimed that Klopp has a longstanding interest in the 22-year-old winger and Liverpool will go in with an offer for the £90million rated ($120million) star next month.
Lemar scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists in over 50 games in the last campaign for the reigning Ligue 1 champions but this season, he has only managed to score 2 goals in 17 appearances so far.
As per the provided Independent link, the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are also eager to secure the signature of Lemar but the belief is that the Les Bleus playmaker’s first choice is to agree a move to Liverpool.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds next month.
