Deal Close – How Liverpool will Line up with $93.6million Star

Jurgen Klopp DortmundLiverpool have got one of the best attacking squads in the continent but their shaky defense has cost them a lot of points in the Premier League this season.
The Reds are already out of the title race but if they are to progress in the Champions League then they must sign a top defender.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Sunday World) claiming that Liverpool are close to signing Van Dijk as they have agreed a payment plan to lure the Southampton star, who is valued at 70 million pounds ($93.6million).

Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren have been Klopp’s first choice central defenders this season. Lately, Klavan has started because the former Schalke defender has been out injured but he could feature vs Swansea.
Since joining the Saints from Celtic, Virgil has proved that he is one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and that is the reason why the demand for his services and the asking price is very high.
If he does end up moving to Anfield then he should get straight into the starting XI. Liverpool’s defense has been inconsistent and Lovren has arguably been the most inconsistent center half, therefore, Van Dijk should replace the Croatian to partner Matip in the back line.
Here is how Liverpool will line up with Van Dijk.
