Manchester United Preparing Bid to Sign Liverpool Target

Manchester United signed Eric Bailly last year and Victor Lindelof this year to strengthen their central defense.
Mourinho has also got stars like Jones, Smalling, Rojo and Blind who can effectively play in the central defense. Still, reports suggest that the Red Devils are looking to sign another CB in the form of Leipzig starlet Dayot Upamecano.
According to an exclusive report covered by Calcio Mercato, the Old Trafford club have been monitoring the 19-year-old defender for two years and are now preparing a bid to sign him in the January transfer window.

The French center half joined the Bundesliga club in January and now he is a regular starter under the management of Ralph Hasenhüttl. In the current campaign, he has already featured 13 times for Leipzig.
Man United’s arch rivals Liverpool agreed a deal to sign Naby Keita from Leipzig for next year and back in September, reports (Tutto Mercato Web) suggested that they are also interested in signing Upamecano from the German club.
In all fairness, United do not really need to sign another CB in the winter window. They must look to sign a quality wide player instead.
On the other hand, Liverpool desperately need to strengthen their back line and Upamecano would be a quality addition.
