Klopp Pushing to Secure Under £36m Rated Star Signing for Liverpool

Liverpool need to strengthen their team in the winter transfer window and once again Leon Goretzka is linked with a move to Anfield.
Earlier this month, we covered a report (via Don Balon) claiming that Liverpool may even have an agreement with the German international and could settle his signing for a fee under 40 million euros (£36million).
Now, Graeme Bailey, who used to cover exclusive reports for Goal.com, has covered an exclusive story for The Gambling Times and he has stated that Liverpool and Arsenal are leading the race to sign the versatile midfielder from Schalke.

The 22-year-old star is currently out with an injury and this season, he has scored 4 goals in 9 league games so far. He was a key member of the German national side that won the Confederations Cup under the management of Low back in July.
As per the provided Gambling Times link, Klopp has been working hard to bring Leon to Anfield. Liverpool signed Matip from Schalke on a free transfer last year and Arsenal signed Kolasinac from the Bundesliga side on a free transfer this year.
The battle between the PL sides could be an intriguing one but perhaps Klopp may have an upper hand not only because he is German but also because Goretzka could play Champions League football with the Reds if he joins in the winter transfer window.
