Arsenal tried to shatter their transfer record to sign Monaco star Thomas Lemar on deadline day but the move could not happen and in such a scenario, the Gunners opted to keep Alexis Sanchez.
According to an exclusive update provided by Daily Star, the North Londoners are confident that they can rekindle the deal and sign the French international for a fee of £92million in January.
The British source have mentioned that Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle with Monaco and a five year contract worth £65million (£250,000-a-week) with the 21-year-old winger.

The important point mentioned by Star is that contrary to other reports suggesting that Lemar rejected Arsenal, it is understood that the deal did not happen because the player was on international duty on deadline day.
The Les Bleus playmaker scored 14 goals and provided no fewer than 17 assists for the Ligue 1 giants in the last campaign.
This season, he has provided 2 assists in 5 games for Monaco so far. In 7 senior appearances for France, Lemar has netted 2 goals.
As per the provided Daily Star link, Wenger is also confident that star playmaker Mesut Ozil will sign a new deal with the club. Moreover, he has not given up hope of Alexis signing a fresh deal.

We have had enough of this nonsense. So what will this story help us to do win a league? You writers make us more humiliated with stories. We are are not so stupid to be comforted with such stories. Leave our team alone because you have nothing to offer to build a team that we can be proud of. It will be foolish to remain in the same grade at school while your friends are miles ahead. Wenger must leave that will be a better story.
