Offer Already Made – Spurs have to Sign $35million Star

Tottenham have been inactive in the summer transfer window as far as the signings are concerned and Pochettino must act swiftly now.
The North Londoners do have a quality squad but they still lack depth in certain key departments. As far as the midfield is concerned, Spurs have been linked with Portuguese international and Sporting CP captain Adrien Silva all summer long.
According to the latest report covered by Record, Silva is looking for a new challenge and his likeliest destination is none other than the Premier League, where Tottenham are seriously interested in him.
The Portuguese source have mentioned that Spurs submitted an offer worth 20 million euros for the 28-year-old midfielder but the move was rejected. The Primeira Liga side are demanding a fee worth 30 million euros ($35million) for their skipper.

The fact that Spurs submitted a bid for the Seleccao star confirms that they are serious about signing him and in my opinion, they have to raise the offer to secure his signature.
Pochettino successfully utilized the 3-4-2-1 formation in the last campaign and in that setup, Dier is very much needed in the back line.
In such a scenario, the Argentine boss needs to strengthen his midfield with a versatile player and Silva completely fits the bill because he is a proven talent, who can play anywhere in the midfield (DM, CM and AM).
The above mentioned price tag is not so high for a quality star like Adrien in today’s market. In the last campaign, he started 36 game for Sporting and directly contributed in 10 goals (6 goals and 4 assists). Not to forget, he was a key member of the Portugal side that won the European Championships last year.
