Liverpool finally completed and announced the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain today and the England international has signed a five year deal with the Merseysiders.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds have secured deals worth £71.2million (fee plus wages) to hire the services of the midfielder from Arsenal.
As per Guardian, Liverpool agreed a fee worth £40million with the Gunners. On the other hand, the 24-year-old star agreed a deal worth £31.2million (£120,000-a-week) with the Anfield club (BBC).

The former Southampton was part of the Arsenal squad that was thrashed by the Reds last Sunday. He expressed delight after completing his move to Liverpool.
As far as Jurgen Klopp is concerned, the German manager claimed that he is excited by the fact that Oxlade-Chamberlain is a Liverpool player. The former Borussia Dortmund manager praised the Three Lions star and stated (LFC):
“He may still be young but he has a lot of experience in the Premier League, Champions League and for his country. Already he is a very, very good player and I think he has the mentality and desire to get even better – and that excites me.
The Merseysiders have revealed that the versatile star will be wearing the No. 21 shirt for the club. The number was last worn by Lucas Leiva, who left the club to join Lazio this summer.
