Liverpool Moving with Top Speed to Sign £80million Playmaker

Jurgen Klopp DortmundLiverpool will need to replace Coutinho with a top quality playmaker if the Brazilian international eventually leaves Anfield.
One top quality star who has the talent to replace Phil is Thomas Lemar. Few days back, we covered a report (via Le10Sport) claiming that the Reds are looking to sign the £80million rated (via Mail and Mirror) Monaco star if Coutinho leaves.
Now, according to renowned French source L’Equipe (press image provided below), Arsenal are going to have serious competition to sign the 21-year-old attacker because the likes of Liverpool, Barca and Man City have moved on to top speed to sign the attacker.

Yesterday, the French source claimed that Lemar is ready to complete Arsenal move. However, today, L’Equipe have mentioned that the Les Bleus attacker realizes that moving to Barcelona could be a once in a lifetime opportunity, still, it is mentioned that Arsenal have not given up on signing him.
In the last campaign, Thomas netted 14 goals and provided 17 assists in 55 games (all competitions) for the Ligue 1 side.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.

Until now LFC are still in the dark., not knowing where to find top players. The three newly signed are not the top of calibre, compared to the rival clubs such as Chelsea, Man City and Man United. That’s why I said, LFC is still on the dark. Under the present circumstances, I don’t think LFC will be in the Top Four again in the season 2017-18.
JK is very slow to take action for the transfer window.

  2. Carlos says:

This is a laugh. LFC are incapable of moving at anything but snail speed when it comes to transfer business. It takes them 3 weeks to get the ‘committee’ gathered for a start. Another week to decide on who they might go for and to identify the target as being an actual footballer! Next season we will be going nowhere.

    • Carlos what you jsut said doesn’t make sense.
Every club has a transfer committee
Klopp has final word on transfers both seeking and signing
Our buying players is also dependent on other clubs making that possible. You can see how early we went for all our targets – 2 were signed before the transfer window was even open.
Transfers aren’t just about what you want as the manager – the player you want has to want to transfer and their club has to be willing to name a price. Otherwise how are you supposed to buy players? Barca want Coutinho but they can’t just pick him up as soon as they want him so get real – this is not FIFA 2017.
Transfers will take as long as necessary to get our target. Or we could just spend money quickly on sub-standard players like we did in the past to make you happy – is that a better option for the squad?

A Transfer Committee? Yes. But it seems that Wagner is THE COMMITTEE. JK had repeatedly said Coutinho is not for sale. Latest rumours stated that Wagner had agreed to sell Coutinho to Barcelona. JK was also quoted at the end of last season that everything related to transfer had been finalised. NK and VVD were two players frequently quoted as players that JK wanted. Out of the three that Liverpool had acquired, i believe only 1 (MS) maybe the player that JK wants.
Agreed, transfers take a long time. For this reason, 2 full months are given as transfer window. This should be sufficient time to get the identified player(s) or at least the alternatives on board.
My worry, Sir, is that Liverpool might lose JK in the event that Coutinho is sold and Liverpool fails to get VVD and NK.

Last season the squad was not big enough, we need numbers in what is th his club doing … no think wasted 2 months on Keirta and van dyke k lopp keeps saying every think ok well it’s not by a Long way l lanna out for3 months c outinnio on the brink of leaving cos that will happen it will be same old same old story truth is lfc cannot compete at the highest level when it matters unless your owned by the arabs

  4. Miracle Raphael says:

Lolz leave it like that over squad kills what type of players did leicester used in winning league tittle in 2015/2016, even spurs dat maintain their 2nd position in 2 years did they have more quality players more than liverpool? We will make it this season

  5. Miracle Raphael says:

Besides how many goals and assists hv morata, lukaku, bakayoko, bernado silva, etc hv provided 4 their clubs since joining this summer bt luk at salah, solanke hv been doing great in this pre-season so far just go and watch them today against athletic club of spain u will wat am telling you

  6. Willie says:

Stingy owners, sluggish coach, injury-prone players… Am really disappointed in their inactivity in d transfer market. They keep announcing and advertising their target for other clubs. How many times did Chelsea sing morata b4 they sign him or manU and lukaku

  7. Alie Kandeh says:

    Actually,
Am disgusted about how the team responsible for transfers pursuing their targets, its a shame that we cannot compute for top players with the likes man u, Chelsea and man city, after all we are one of the elites club in England with remarkable history after all, i believe JK is the right manager for the club but he must strongly refrain from bringing average or developing players for Liverpool rather he must concentrate on securing already established players that will add quality and depth to the team, otherwise, lets forget about title dream for another decade as money in football is the key for success in nowadays football if we are rational to our conscience.

  8. jazz says:

Liverpool front four will score assist 100 goals plus this year. Top 4 guaranteed

  9. Yemi says:

all am worried about is the Liverpool defense, we need 2 world class defenders, and a quality DM,maybe add a world class GK.

    • Silvester says:

Yemi, me too. JK asked for the names of 5 defenders that are considered on par or better than what Liverpool had. I believe the followings defenders are better than what Liverpool had: Mascherano (Barcelona), Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham), Jerome Boateng (B. Munich), Dani Carvajal (RM), Socrates (B Dorthmund), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen), Giogio Chiellini (Juventus), Thiago Silva (PSG). The first 3 names would be my choice as they had PL experiences. If Liverpool could get Mas or Toby, apart from VVD, that will be a fantastic window.

  10. Marco says:

Liverpool are playing the best football iv seen in a long time if we had Salish last season and one top class defender we would of been much closer because matip is young and not bad either and we are always going to find it harder at the back because we attack attack attack and that’s the best way to be let teams like Chelsea win it in defence we won’t to win it the best way like fergie did it with Man U and how we should of did it with Brendon we need to stop moaning and start believing like when we won the champs league with a standard team and got to the final with a standard team again this is the best team we have had for about 20 years this team actually play like a team instead of individuals like city if we do manage to get two more of the same quality in the other teams should be very scared but right now they still should be scared the defenders in Munich definitely was scared.

  11. Jayden says:

Jk is taking his time to sign up players and its begin to scare me now.

  12. chukwuma udezeh says:

If Liverpool can’t buy quality players but they can sell their quality players that means where going no where ,we Nigeria’s Liverpool fan’s are not happy about how things is working at the club. The owner of the club is after profit not to make fan’s happy ,that’s American for you.If that American man can not make us happy please advice him to sell the club to the Arad people .
