Manchester United have been looking to sign a quality winger this summer and French international Thomas Lemar has been in the lime light this month.
Few days back, Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles covered a report on Daily Record and claimed that the Red Devils are weighing up a move to sign the Monaco star in the summer transfer window. He mentioned that Monaco are demanding a huge fee worth 60 million euros ($71million) for their prized asset.
More recently, he posted on his official twitter account and claimed that the 21-year-old winger would rather join Man United than Arsenal.

In the transfer window podcast, the renowned journalist claimed that he had a chat with his Monaco contact and asked him about whether Thomas would like to join the Red Devils or the Gunners and he got a very clear reply.
“The interesting bit of information is I asked where Lemar would prefer to go, whether it’s Arsenal or Manchester United and he was very clear. Lemar wants to go to Manchester United.”
Lemar was brilliant in the last campaign for the Ligue 1 side and it is not surprising that he wants to join United over Arsenal. The Old Trafford club are in the Champions League whereas the North Londoners will be playing Europa League this season.
The Les Bleus playmaker scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions last season. This season, in 3 league games so far, he has provided 1 assist for the French club. His current deal with Monaco will expire in 2020.
