Klopp Pressing to Sign Hakim Ziyech for Liverpool

Liverpool have been looking to sign a midfielder in this summer’s transfer window and they must act swiftly.
So far, they have failed to sign Naby Keita and now Adam Lallana has been ruled out for a few months as well. To make matters worse, they might even lose star playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
According to reports (Les Lions de L’Atlas), Liverpool have sent representatives to hold talks to sign Moroccan international and Ajax star Hakim Ziyech.
The report has mentioned that Klopp is pressing to secure his signing for Liverpool as he would be the perfect replacement for Coutinho, who is expected to exit Anfield in the coming days.

Hakim is a versatile talent, who is naturally a attacking midfielder but he can effectively play in the central midfield as well. Over the past few seasons, his stats have been really impressive.

• 2013-14 (Heerenven) – 11 goals & 10 assists in 36 games
• 2014-15 (Twente) – 17 goals and 17 assists in 40 games (2 games for Heerenven)
• 2015-16 (Twente) – 17 goals and 12 assists in 34 games
• 2016-17 (Ajax) – 12 goals and 20 assists in 46 games

The African star’s current deal with the Dutch giants is going to expire in 2021 and he is rated (CalcioMercato) around 25 million euros ($29.4million) which is not a mammoth price in today’s market.
