Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco since yesterday and it looks like that the move will happen.
Earlier in the day, we covered a report (via Telegraph) and claimed that the Reds have inquired about signing the French international from the Ligue 1 champions for a fee worth $71.5million.
Then came Sky Sports who reported today that Liverpool have made an offer worth 55.5 million pounds to secure his signature but Monaco have not accepted or rejected the bid as yet.
Now, according to an exclusive update provided by Le10Sport, Liverpool have made an offer worth €72million for the 21-year-old star, the agreement is close as the French club are about to say yes to the offer.

Other than Liverpool, the French source have only mentioned the name of Tottenham, who could make a last minute bid to sign Lemar.
Levy is not really renowned for splashing huge sums and so it is highly unlikely that Spurs will match the sum that Liverpool have offered.
The Reds lack depth in their attacking midfield and Lemar would be a quality signing. Le10Sport have not talked about Coutinho’s departure at all but it will not be shocking to see him leave if Liverpool are splashing €72million for Lemar.
Thomas mainly plays on the left wing, a position occupied by star playmaker Sadio Mane at Anfield at the moment.
