Liverpool sold Luis Suarez back in 2014 but never replaced him with a world class center forward. Since his departure, no striker has been able to score 20+ league goals for the Reds.
If the latest reports are anything to go by then the Merseysiders are heavily linked with a top quality striker in the form of Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid are planning to sell the French international in order to sign Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco.
The Spanish source have mentioned that for Benzema, the Los Blancos have three offers on the table from Arsenal, Dortmund and Liverpool. It is mentioned that they are ready to accept one of the offers and club president Florentino Perez favors the offer from the Anfield club.

The 29-year-old striker is earning more than any Liverpool player at the moment and it will be intriguing to see if the Reds can match his current wages of €298,000-a-week (Star).
Not only that, the Reds will have to break the bank and pay a huge fee as well to secure his signature. As per the provided Diario Gol link, Perez is planning to sell Karim to Liverpool for a fee that can reach to €100million.
Klopp lacks quality depth in his strike-force and he uses Firmino, who is not an out and out striker, in the center forward position.
In all fairness, Liverpool’s attacking department has been doing great since the arrival of Klopp. The Reds badly need to sort out their back line. In your opinion, do Liverpool need Benzema? Should they splash the cash to sign him?
