Chelsea started their Premier League campaign with a shocking defeat at the hands of Burnley at Stamford Bridge and the champions must bounce back next week.
The Blues have spent heavy fees to hire the services of stars this summer and they are still looking to further strengthen the squad.
Few days back, we covered a report (via Daily Mail) claiming that Chelsea have made a bid to sign England international and Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer transfer window.
Now, according to an update provided by Mirror, Arsenal feel that they might have to sell the former Southampton player. It is mentioned that the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City have been linked with him as well but Chelsea are clear favorites to secure his signature.

Alex can play anywhere in the attack and in the midfield but his preferred playing position is the central midfield (Telegraph).
The 24-year-old star mostly warmed the bench for Arsenal and moving to Stamford Bridge would not actually guarantee him a starting role either. As far as Chelsea are concerned, they sold Matic to Manchester United but have star players like Kante, Fabregas and new signing Bakayoko in the midfield.
Alex’s current contract with the Gunners will expire in less than 12 months, he is earning around (£65,000-a-week) $84,000-a-week and Goal understands that he wants to earn £150,000-a-week at the Bridge.
