Arsenal have already secured the signing of a quality center forward from Ligue 1 by hiring the services of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
Now, their focus is on signing another top star from the French league and Monaco’s Thomas Lemar has been in the lime light recently.
According to Daily Mail, the North Londoners are increasingly assured that they will get his signing done in the summer transfer window.
The British source have mentioned that the Ligue 1 champions do not want to sell their prized asset but Wenger is not ready to give up and will push to get his man.
The 21-year-old playmaker was in fantastic form for Monaco last season. He featured in 55 games in all competitions and directly contributed in no fewer than 31 goals (14 goals and 17 assists).

His current contract with the club will expire in 2020 and as per the provided Daily Mail link, a package worth £80million could do the job for the Gunners. Earlier this month, even Mirror reported that Monaco have slapped a price tag of £80million on Lemar.
Thomas is mainly a left winger and he has got the quality to replace Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates, should the Chilean international leaves the club this summer.
Daily Mail claimed that Monaco have rejected two bids made by Arsenal and now Wenger is ready to offload players like Wojciech Szczesny, Carl Jenkinson and Lucas Perez to fund an improved bid for the Les Bleus attacker.
Lemar made his senior international debut back in Novemeber 2016 and so far, he has made 5 appearances under the management of Deschamps.
