Liverpool have been linked with England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain since the past few months and the latest reports do not look positive.
The former Southampton player mainly warmed the bench under the management of Arsene Wenger in the last campaign and his contract with the North Londoners will expire next year.
Few days back, Daily Star exclusively revealed that Arsenal will not allow Alex to join a rival Premier League team.
Now, according to the latest update provided by Daily Mail, the Gunners are confident that they will be able to hold on to the 23-year-old versatile star by agreeing a new contract with him.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s preferred playing position is the central midfield but Wenger has mainly used him in the attacking midfield over the years.
Last season, he scored 6 goals and provided 11 assists in 45 appearances for the Gunners. It must be noted that he could only start 27 times.
Klopp is a keen admirer of the £25million rated (Mirror) star ($32million) and wants him at Anfield. Moreover, back in May, Telegraph reported that Alex would like to play for Klopp, he is mainly tempted by the idea of playing in the central midfield under the management of the German boss.

He is only going to warm the bench at Liverpool as well. Mind you only if he is not injured.
