Manchester United need a strong defensive midfielder this summer and once again Chelsea star Nemanja Matic is in the focus.
Last month, the Guardian reported that the Red Devils have already agreed personal terms of a contract with the Serbian international, who will earn £155,000-a-week.
Now, according to a report covered by the Sun, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has approved Matic’s departure if the Old Trafford club can splash a fee worth 50 million pounds.
Matic was a key member of Antonio Conte’s squad last season as the Blues won the Premier League title by winning 30 out of 38 games.

However, the 28-year-old star is expected to be replaced in the starting XI by French defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has recently joined the Stamford Bridge club.
In such a scenario, the Sun have reported that the former Benfica star wants to leave the London based club and Manchester United, who got their first bid rejected, are determined to secure his signature this month by making an improved second offer.
Not to forget, Nemanja was brilliant for Jose Mourinho when the Portuguese boss guided Chelsea to the title in the 2014-15 campaign. In your opinion, will he be a hit at Old Trafford as well?
