Man Utd Must Sign 30 Goals/Assists Playmaker – Not Perisic

Manchester United have already strengthened their strike-force and the back line. Now, they must reinforce the attacking and the defensive midfield departments in time before the start of the new season.
As far as the attacking midfield is concerned, Ivan Perisic has mainly been in the focus. However, earlier in the day, we covered a report (via CalcioMercato) claiming that Mourinho ready to splash $58million to sign Leipzig playmaker Emil Forsberg.
In my opinion, the Mourinho should actually forget about signing Perisic and the Red Devils have to focus on agreeing the signing of the Swedish attacker instead.

Age is the most important factor here. Ivan is going to turn 29 next year and Man United need someone, who could serve the club for the long term. Forsberg (25) is currently in his peak years.
In the last campaign, Perisic scored directly contributed in 22 goals (11 goals and 11 assists) in 31 league starts for Inter Milan. Not to forget, the Serie A club rate the Croatian international around 50 million pounds (Independent).
On the other hand, Emil was the assist king in the Bundesliga. He was one of the main driving forces behind Leipzig’s brilliant campaign.
He directly contributed in 30 goals (8 goals and 22 assists) in 27 starts for Leipzig and helped them finish second in the German league.
