Reds Roundup: £140m Stars Want Liverpool Move, £25m Playmaker Offered Contract, £54m CB Wanted

Liverpool must act fast and sign stars as soon as possible to strengthen the squad before the start of the new season.
Recent reports going on in the media suggest that more than a few stars are interested in joining Liverpool.
Two days back, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that Virgil van Dijk has told Southampton that he only wants to join Liverpool this summer. Moreover, we added (via Express) that the Saints want the Reds to pay £70million for their prized asset.
The Reds have been heavily linked with Leipzig star Naby Keita and £70million rated (via BBC) midfielder has told the Bundesliga side that he is interested (via Amadou Makadji)  in joining the Anfield club. Mirror reported a similar kind of news few days back.

Van Dijk is not the only central defender eyed by the five time European Champions. Atletico Madrid’s Jose Gimenez (via Star) is wanted as well and he has a huge release clause of £54m in his contract (via The Sun).
Another Atletico Madrid player linked with a move to the Reds is Argentine playmaker Angel Correa.
Last night, we covered a report (via Foot Mercato) claiming that the €28m (£25m) attacker is tempted to join the Merseysiders, who have offered him a contract worth €2.82m-a-season, however, Correa wants around €4.5m-a-season.
Klopp must sort out his back line first by signing a central defender and a left back. After that, he must focus on improving his midfield. The attack is fine for now but if he wants to further reinforce the department then he must lure a proven quality out and out striker.
