Liverpool Prepared to Pay €68million to Agree Star Signing

Liverpool are once again linked with Leipzig star Naby Keita and more than a few media outlets in Britain have claimed almost the same thing today.
As per Mirror, Guardian, Independent and Times, the German Bundesliga side have told the Merseysiders that the 22-year-old African midfielder will not be sold at any price.
The British sources suggest that now Keita will have to force the issue by submitting a transfer request to join Liverpool.
Mirror and Guardian have claimed that Liverpool are still hoping that the signing can be done for two main reasons. For the same reasons (provided below), Liverpool have not yet searched for an alternative.

  1. The player is determined to move to Anfield.
  2. Liverpool are willing to pay a huge transfer fee.

As per the provided Independent link, Ed Malyon has reported that Liverpool are prepared to offer 60 million pounds (€68million) to agree the signing of the Guinean star and also hope that he will formally make a transfer request.
As per reports going on in the media for quite some time, we know that Naby is rated around 70 million pounds (BBC).
Keita scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists in the league last season and helped Leipzig finish second. Next season, the club will play in the Champions League for the first time in their short history.
