Liverpool have to improve their back line in the summer transfer window and their primary target is none other than Southampton star Virgil van Dijk.
Last month, the Merseysiders did make a public apology and stated that they are not interested in signing the highly rated central defender but they are still hoping (The Guardian) that the deal can happen because the player wants to join.
A positive update regarding the transfer saga has been provided by South African lawyer Daniel Vanderkamp, who posted on his twitter account that things are moving and Liverpool are in negotiations again to sign the 26-year-old star.
The tweets have been endorsed by a trusted member of The Anfield Wrap, Robert Gutmann, who claimed that Daniel is reliable.

Not to forget, Vanderkamp provided reliable update regarding Liverpool’s move to sign Christian Benteke from Aston Villa in 2015. A week after his tweets, the Anfield club officially confirmed the signing of the Belgian international.
Few days back, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that Virgil only wants to join Liverpool. He is one of the best defenders in the league and that is the reason the Reds are so keen on signing him.
Back in May 2016, the former Celtic defender signed a six year deal with the Saints (until 2022) and he earns around $84,000-a-week as per Daily Star. Last season, he made 30 appearances under Claude Puel and scored 4 goals.
