Deal Close – $72,000-a-week Star to Agree Terms with Liverpool

Liverpool already have more than a few midfielders in their squad but they still have not replaced Steven Gerrard.
As far as the last season is concerned, the likes of Lallana, Hendo, Can and Wijnaldum played their part in helping Liverpool qualify for the Champions League.
German international Emre Can was influential in the last months of the season and his impressive performances were vital for Liverpool to finish in the top four.

Can’s current deal with the Anfield club will expire next year and he is earning around $72,000-a-week (Star).
According to reports going on in the media, Juventus are interested in signing Can but the good news for Liverpool fans is that he is close (Daily Mail) to agreeing terms of a new contract with the club.
The 23-year-old former Bayern Munich midfielder scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 26 league starts for the Merseysiders last season. In your opinion, does he deserve a new deal?

I do not think he is a great deal different to what we already have. If he does not want to sign a new contract he needs to be sold. If the midfield is a three this year, I am not too sure he will be in that three, especially if they buy Keita. If that happens, I cannot see Can happy on the bench.
