After Liverpool's Offer – €28million Playmaker Has Made a Decision

Liverpool have been linked with Argentine international and Atletico Madrid playmaker Angel Correa recently.
Two days back, we covered a report (via Foot Mercato) claiming that the Merseysiders offered a five year contract to sign the South American star, who is rated around €28million.
Now, AS have provided an update by claiming that Liverpool are interested but Angel has met with Atletico and he has decided to stay this summer.
The Spanish source have stated that Correa wants to play regular first team football next season to earn a place in the senior national side. The report states that Atletico will not let him leave at any price in the summer, mainly because they cannot sign players due to the sanction applied by FIFA. Moreover, they also consider him an important player going into the new season.

In the last campaign, the La Albiceleste attacker featured in 31 league games for Atletico, scored 4 goals and provided 8 assists.
Simeone mainly preferred the likes of Griezmann and Carrasco in his attack and it must be noted that Correa could only start 10 times in the league.
As per the provided AS link, Atletico have told the player that for now he has to stay. However, after the removal of the sanction in the winter transfer window, it is possible that he can look for a new club so that the Spaniards can sign a quality replacement.
The good thing for Atletico is that he has agreed with their decision to stay. This is by no means a bad news for Liverpool, who already have more than a few attacking players in the team and do not really need Correa.
