Liverpool lack quality and depth in their strike-force and must sign a proven quality goalscorer in the summer transfer window.
Last season, Roberto Firmino was mainly used in the CF role by Jurgen Klopp, Origi mainly warmed the bench and the likes of Ings and Sturridge were mostly on the treatment table.
In the winter transfer window, the Reds were linked with Mexican international Raul Jimenez (via Squawka). If the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then the Merseysiders are still interested in signing the Benfica striker.
According to an exclusive report covered by Record, a purchase proposal worth 45 million euros ($51million) has been made from England, where the likes of Liverpool and West Ham United are hoping to sign him.

The Portuguese source have stated that even after hiring the services of Mohamed Salah from Roma, Liverpool want to strengthen their attack by luring a center forward in the summer transfer window and Raul Jimenez is on their radar.
The 26-year-old striker has played 50 games for the senior Mexican side and scored just 9 goals. He made four appearances in the recently concluded Confederations Cup and scored jjust 1 goal.
In the last campaign, he only started 6 league games, scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists. Overall, in 32 appearances, he scored 11 times and provided 3 assists. In all honesty, this bench warmer from Benfica is not good enough to improve Liverpool’s striking department.
