Spurs Interested in Signing $44.5million Star – Contact Made

Tottenham splashed the cash to hire the services of a top midfielder in the form of Victor Wanyama last summer. The former Southampton star proved to be a hit in his first season with the North Londoners.
Mauricio Pochettino has got a strong midfield department with stars like Wanyama, Dembele and Dier around.
However, Eric was mainly used in the defense in the last campaign and Spurs are looking to sign another midfielder in this summer’s transfer window.
Yesterday, RMC Sport reported that Spurs are closely following Nice star Jean-Michael Seri.
Moreover, earlier today, Daily Mail stated that Tottenham are interested in signing the Ivorian international and they have made initial contact for him as well.
The 25-year-old African midfielder was in top form for Nice last season and helped them qualify for the Champions League. He is a versatile talent who can effectively play anywhere in the midfield.
Last season, he featured in 34 league games for the Ligue 1 side and directly contributed in 16 goals (7 goals and 9 assists).
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Italian side Roma are seriously looking to sign Seri and even made an offer of 20 million pounds to hire his services, however, he has a release clause of 35 million pounds ($44.5million) in his contract and Nice are not ready to sell their prized for cheap.
