Mourinho Ready to Launch Assault to Sign £70million Star for Red Devils

Manchester United completed the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica not so long ago and now reports are suggesting that the Red Devils are looking to sign another star from the Portuguese giants in the form of Nelson Semedo.
The Old Trafford club were interested in hiring the services of the Portuguese fullback in the winter transfer window as well but the move did not happen.
Now, according to O JoGo, Jose Mourinho is prepared to go on the offensive and Manchester United are ready to launch a new assault to finally secure his signature.
The 23-year-old right back was brilliant for Benfica in their title winning campaign. In 47 appearances (all competitions) the Seleccao defender scored 2 goals and provided 12 assists last season. He is part of Portugal’s Confederations Cup squad and was an unused sub in their opening game of the competition against Mexico.

United have a strong RB in the form of Valencia, who is also productive in the attack. However, the Ecuadorian star will turn 32 in August, United need a long term replacement and Semedo would be perfect.
As per the provided O Jogo link, United are ready to make an offer worth 35 million euros to hire his services, however, Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira is demanding a fee of 40 million euros to approve the transfer.
Nelson’s current contract with the Primeira Liga champions will expire in 2021 and it has a huge release clause (Telegraph) of 80 million euros (£70million). In your opinion, should United splash 40 million euros to sign Semedo?
