Liverpool need to sign top quality stars in the summer transfer window to challenge for big prizes and they must also hold on to the key players, who in the current team as well.
German international Emre Can was one of the stars who impressed big time in the final months of the last campaign and it will be fair to say that without his heroics, the Reds may have failed to qualify for the Champions League.
The 23-year-old midfielder’s current deal with the Merseysiders will expire in 2018 and Jurgen Klopp must hand him a fresh deal this summer.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in signing the former Bayern Munich player but Liverpool are prepared to offer him a new deal.
The Italian source have exclusively revealed that Liverpool are looking to agree a four-year deal with Can that will make him earn £100,000-a-week, £20.8million ($26.5million) until 2021.
Emre effectively played in the central/defensive midfield role for the Reds last season. He scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 32 league outings. In your opinion, does he deserve a new contract?

why??, scoring 5goals doesn’t mean that he might not be given a new contract!, he plays defensive midfield and his role is not to score. And if he was not the one, u never know we have not qualified in champions league!. Remember the goal he scored when we where varsing Watford and scored the only one amazing goal which gave us 3points.
I think Can did enough at the end of the season for a new Contract as I still feel his talent hasn’t been fully shown yet but personally i dont see him as a CM and if thats what he wants i have concerns as i would like to Keita brought in as a CM and Can as a DM but we do still need to buy a top DM with Lucas going….
My other concern now is with the news that PSG has pulled the plug on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and I’m hearing Klopp is very interested in this guy ?? My first choice is still Lacazetta who is both younger and cheaper by
Around £20M and I feel I would like to Lacazetta and Werner bough as our strikers and sell Sturridge and the jury is out on Ings who has had 2 major injuries in 2 seasons and we don’t know what effect that will have on him as I was a massive fan of ings as I thought he was going to be very much like Fowler…That still leaves us with getting Salah deal done and again my own personal view and money wasn’t a concern I would like 2 wingers Brought in with the second winger as cover for Mane and Salah and surprised Klopp hasn’t gone after either Costa or Moura

I rate Can higher than Henderson. So a contract is as no brainer
yes can need a new contract remember can was recommend by one of the club best defender or should I call him best Sami hypia and he said he can still learn and I believe so if lovren new contract can land him 100 a week then why not emre can he deserved it
To my view for the new season Lucas should leave and have can as a advance replacement emre can should play more infront of the defence because he very comfortable and have that chance to track down the opposition attack please sign him up with the price also we need to sign Aubameyang now that guy love our club and I believe he will jump to the opportunity with Aubameyang,Salah,keita Zico the Brazilian LB CB please not Vij at 60mil that us crazy but other alternative not more than the price sale sahko or alittle more.
