Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp must act swiftly in the summer transfer window and sign top quality stars to challenge for top prizes next season.
Last month, Spanish source Marca reported that Liverpool made a mammoth move worth 75 million euros to sign Kylian Mbappe but Monaco rejected that bid.
Now, L’Equipe have come up with an interesting story and claim that Liverpool boss meant business.
The 18-year-old Les Bleus center forward scored 26 goals and provided 14 assists in 44 games for the Ligue 1 side last season and as per the provided L’Equipe link, PSG are also interested in signing the in from striker, who is valued at €150million.
After selling the likes of Benteke and Balotelli last summer, Liverpool did not sign a new forward to strengthen their strike-force. Sturridge and Ings proved to be injury prone and Origi normally warmed the bench.
The French source has stated that Klopp established direct contact with Mbappe’s camp last month (press image) and promised that he will offer the teenage striker a starring role in his team.
The Reds have not been able to replace Luis Suarez and they must sign a big name striker in this summer’s transfer window. Someone like Mbappe will surely be a brilliant signing.
