Forget Martins, Liverpool Must Pay Over $44million to Sign Star

Jurgen Klopp’s team were way to reliant on star playmaker Sadio Mane in the last campaign. When he was on international duty, the Reds suffered big time for over a month.
Moreover, when the Senegalese international got injured against Everton in April, the Merseysiders again looked like a completely different side going forward.
Therefore, the German boss needs to sign one or two quality stars to improve the depth of the attacking department in the summer transfer window.
Recent reports (Daily Mail) suggest that Liverpool are not prepared to pay over the odds to sign Mohamed Salah. Moreover, they are in talks to sign Gelson Martins from Sporting CP.
In my opinion, Liverpool need to forget about signing Martins and must pay Roma’s asking price to secure the signature of Salah, who is clearly better than Martins.
The 22-year-old Portuguese star played 44 games in all competitions for Sporting last season and directly contributed in 21 goals.
At the other end, the 24-year-old Egyptian attacker played 41 games for the Giallorossi in the last campaign and directly contributed in 34 goals.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Roma are demanding over 35 million pounds ($44million) for Salah. On the other hand, Sporting are demanding around 43.5 million pounds for Martins.
The mentioned duo naturally play on the right wing but Salah is way more versatile. Unlike Martins, the former Basel star can play as a secondary striker and also as a center forward if needed. Not to forget, Salah has played in the Premier League with Chelsea.
