Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been heavily linked with Egyptian international and Roma star Mohamed Salah and the latest reports look really positive for the Reds.
Two days back, we covered a report (via Corriere dello Sport) claiming that the $56million (via CalcioMercato & Yallakora) star is closing in on a deal to sign for Liverpool.
Now, retired Egyptian forward Mido has claimed that the 24-year-old star will definitely join the Merseysiders in the summer transfer window. He told KingFut:
“Salah will definitely move to Liverpool. It’s just a matter of time,”
“Liverpool’s style of play suits Salah perfectly and Jurgen Klopp’s style suits the Egyptian winger,”
The 34-year-old manager played in the Premier League with teams like Spurs, Boro, Wigan and West Ham. Before joining Tottenham, Mido played for Roma in the 2004-05 campaign and made only 12 appearances.
The current Wadi Degla boss further stated that he is not sure whether Salah can cope with the tempo of playing in the Premier League. The former Basel star joined Chelsea in 2014 but did not get a fair chance under the management of Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho.
After moving to Serie A, Salah has proved to be fantastic and last season he netted 19 goals and provided 15 assists for the Giallorossi. In your opinion, will Salah be a hit at Anfield?
