After failing to qualify for the Champions League, Arsenal need top quality signings to bounce back next season.
The Gunners have already agreed the signing of Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke and are now interested in securing the signature of French international and Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette.
The North Londoners badly need a top quality out and out center forward and someone like Lacazette can surely improve Arsene Wenger’s strike-force.
According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, Arsenal are stepping up the pace to hire the services of the 26-year-old star in a deal worth £50million.
The British source claim that Arsene Wenger is looking to sign the Les Bleus center forward and he met with Lyon president Jean-Michael Aulas to secure a move.
Over the years, Alexandre has proved to be a brilliant goalscorer in the French Ligue and now he needs a new challenge. Last season, in 30 league appearances, he directly contributed in no fewer than 31 goals (28 goals and 3 assists).
He made his debut for the senior national side back in 2013 and so far in 10 outings, he has netted one goal.
Arsenal are not the only club interested in signing Lacazette. Few days back, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that Manchester United are ready to splash a fee of £50million to bring him to Old Trafford.
