Arsenal failed to qualify for the Champions League and it will be hard for them to attract the best of players in the continent.
Lately, the North Londoners have been heavily linked with a move to sign French international Alexandre Lacazette.
According to Telegraph, the Gunners have been told that they have to splash a sum of 60 million pounds (fee + add-ons) to hire the services of the Lyon center forward.
Last season, in 30 league games, the Les Bleus star directly contributed in 31 goals. Overall, he netted 37 goals and provided 5 assists in 45 outings for the Ligue 1 side.
Arsenal have lacked a world class striker since the departure of Dutch international Robin van Persie. The likes of Giroud and Welbeck are just not good enough to help Arsenal win the Premier League title and they badly need someone like Lacazette in the strike-force.
Without CL Football, Arsene Wenger must act fast or else, other top clubs may look to take advantage. Liverpool need and out and out striker as well and they have been tracking Lacazette for over three years (via Mirror).
In such a scenario, the French boss should not waste more time and must activate the £60million ($76million) release clause (Mirror) to secure the signature of the 26-year-old star.
