Everton playmaker Ross Barkley may end up leaving the Goodison Park in the summer transfer window and the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in hiring his services.
According to Mirror, the Toffees have given up on agreeing a fresh contract with the England international. Ross’ current deal will expire next year and he may even end up leaving on a free transfer after the end of the next campaign.
As per the provided Mirror link, the Merseysiders have slapped a huge price tag of 50 million pounds ($64.9million) on the 23-year-old star and that high a valuation could stop United and Tottenham from moving for him.
The question is, should Mourinho splash the cash to sign Ross Barkley from Everton?
The Three Lions star is naturally a central attacking midfielder but he is a versatile talent, who can be deployed anywhere in the midfield as well. After Lukaku, he was arguably Everton’s best player under the management of Ronald Koeman.
In the recently concluded Premier League campaign, Barkley featured in 36 games for the Toffees, scored 5 goals and provided 9 assists.
Mourinho has mainly utilized Paul Pogba in the CAM position but next season, the French international should be used in his preferred central midfield role and the former Chelsea boss must sign a natural No.10.
Not to forget, United are also heavily linked with a proven quality No.10 in the form of James Rodriguez, who would cost around 60 million euros (via Don Balon).
In your opinion, should Jose sign Barkley or James?

Rose Barkley is a good player, he can struggle and also have football fighting spirit. Jose should sign him and Matuidi so that they can pear with pogba and Herrera in the midfield.
