Manchester United had a dismal Premier League campaign under Mourinho and after earning CL qualification (via Europa League), the former Chelsea boss must splash the cash to improve his team in the summer transfer window.
Last summer, The Red Devils hired the services of a top class central defender in the form of Eric Bailly from Spanish side Villareal. In all fairness, they have an overcrowded central defense and do not need another CB this summer.
Players like Jones, Rojo and Smalling have had injury concerns in the recently concluded campaign but the trio are without doubt quality defenders.
Reports in the media suggest that Jose wants to further reinforce the back line and he is serious about signing Burnley star Michael Keane.
Earlier in the month, Daily Mail reported that the Old Trafford club are set to sign the 24-year-old defender, who is desperate to return to his boyhood club.
Now, the British source have claimed that Mourinho has told Ed Woodward to sign the Clarets star and United are willing to spend 24 million pounds (€27.5m) to secure his signature. The Portuguese boss wants the deal done as soon as possible.
Burnley finished 16th in the Premier League and Keane was arguably their best player. He featured in 35 league games, scored 2 goals and also provided 1 assist. Michael’s solid performances at the back were noticed by Southgate, who handed him his first start for the senior English team.
He made his debut for the Three Lions in a friendly contest against World Champions Germany back in the month of March. In your opinion, is Michael Keane good enough to improve Manchester United’s back line?

Michael Keane is good get him. Man Utd still need defenders like Danny Rose and Walker that has speed. Man Utd need midfielders like Blaise Matuidi, Bakayoko, Marco Verratti, Renato Sanchez, Douglas Costa, William from Chelsea. Man Utd should get these kind of players.
