Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Colombian international and Real Madrid star James Rodriguez and things are looking positive at the moment.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Florentino Perez has decided to sell James to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
According to Don Balon, Perez has closed an agreement with the Old Trafford club for the transfer of the former Monaco star in a swap deal to sign David De Gea.
As per the provided Spanish source link, the only thing yet to be decided is the fee. Real Madrid want around 60 million euros ($65million), whereas, Man United are only willing to pay a fee of 40 million euros for James.
De Gea is rated around 75 million euros, therefore, the Los Blancos are looking to get as much as possible from the sale of the Colombian.
The 25-year-old playmaker is a top quality star but he has mainly warmed the bench because Zinedine Zidane has preferred Benzema, Ronaldo and Bale in his attack.
Moreover, even the likes of Asensio and Isco are ahead of Rodriguez in the pecking order. Hence, a move away from Bernabeu could be fruitful for the South American star.
In the current campaign, the ex Porto attacker has only started 18 games so far (all competitions), scored 9 goals and provided 13 assists.
In your opinion, will James Rodriguez improve Man United’s offense?
