Liverpool needed three points against the Hammers to remain in pole position ahead of Arsenal for Champions League qualification and they did not disappoint at all.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were rampant vs West Ham yesterday and scored four goals past them. If Arsenal lose to Sunderland tomorrow night then Liverpool will return to Champions League football next season. Otherwise, the Reds will have to complete the job on the final day of the season against relegated Boro.
As far as the transfers are concerned, the Merseysiders have been heavily linked with Brazilian international and Gremio center forward Luan.
Recently, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that the Reds are closing in on hiring the services of the 24-year-old Samba star, who won the Gold Medal with the national side at the Olympics last year.
As per the latest update provided by Radialista’s Luis Filepe Amorin, Liverpool actually moved in with an offer of 23 million pounds ($30million) to sign the South American forward on 6th May and the offer has been agreed by the Brazilian club.
Luan helped his team win the Copa do Brasil title back in December and Gremio want to keep him.
Liverpool lack quality and depth in their strike-force and someone like Luan will solve that dilemma for the German boss. Daniel Sturridge was fantastic for the Reds against Bilic’s men and showed that when fit, he is one of the best strikers in the league.
In your opinion, should Liverpool sell Sturridge?
