Conte Set to Agree "Quality" $64million Star Signing for Chelsea

Liverpool and Arsenal supporters are going to be very frustrated with the latest news going on in the media regarding Virgil van Dijk’s future.
The above mentioned clubs are seriously interested in hiring the services of the Dutch international from Southampton this summer.
However, according to an exclusive report covered by the Sun, Chelsea are confident that they have won the race to secure the signature of the £50million rated ($64million) Netherlands star by offering Andreas Christensen to the Saints.
Recently, Liverpool legend John Barnes claimed that Klopp is interested in signing the former Celtic star but it seems that he is heading to join the Stamford Bridge club. Barnes stated (Express via Liverpool Echo):

“I’ve seen enough of him from when he was at Celtic to know that Van Dijk is a very talented defender. It would be great. He’s a quality player,” 
“I think Jurgen Klopp does like him and if he comes to Liverpool I think that would be a good signing”

Van Dijk has been a top quality player for the Saints since moving to the club from the Scottish league. Unfortunately, injury ruined his campaign and he is still recovering from a foot concern.
The Blues have the third best defensive record in this season’s Premier League having conceded 29 goals so far. Antonio Conte is a defense minded Italian coach and it is not surprising that he wants to add another defender even after signing David Luiz last summer.
Not to forget, captain John Terry will leave Chelsea at the end of the current campaign. In such a scenario, the Blues do need quality and depth in the defense and Van Dijk has what it takes to be the leader of their back line.
