Arsenal Player Ratings vs Chelsea – FA Cup

Against all odds, Arsenal defeated Premier League champions Chelsea to win their 13th FA Cup title much to the delight of their supporters.
The North Londoners’ fast start to the game paid off as star playmaker Alexis Sanchez scored his 30th goal of the season to give them the lead.
The Gunners could have doubled their lead in the 16th minute when record signing Mesut Ozil chipped Courtois but his shot was cleared off the line by Cahill. Ozil and Alexis were top class on the day.
Antonio Conte’s men were frustrated for most part of the game and their task became harder when Victor Moses was sent off for diving in the second half.
However, the Blues fought hard and eventually equalized thanks to Diego Costa in the 76th minute. Ospina should have done better to stop the Spaniard’s effort.
Three minutes later, Arsenal were back in front. Olivier Giroud cleverly crossed the ball in the dangerous area hoping that a teammate will pounce. Aaron Ramsey latched on to it, headed the ball home and won the title for the Gunners.
