Arsenal have been absolutely average this season and in recent weeks, they have been under fire for horrendous performances.
The North Londoners need to sign quality players in the summer transfer window to bounce back next season and the recent reports look positive.
Few days back, we covered a report (via Daily Mail) claiming that the Gunners are in talks to sign Bosnian international and Schalke star Sead Kolasinac this summer.
Now, Daily Mail have provided an update and claimed that Arsenal have agreed a deal (terms) with the 23-year-old star, who will now move to the Emirates.
Arsenal do not have to agree any deal with Schalke since the player will be joining on a bosman when his contract expires on 30th June.
Sead likes to play on the left hand side of the field. Over the years, he has mainly played as a left back but this season, the German Bundesliga side have utilized him on the left flank.
On 17 occasions, he has played on the left hand side of the midfield and only 10 times as a left back. Moreover, Schalke have also played him in the central defense and in the defensive midfield roles in the current campaign (Transfermarkt).
Such versatility could prove fruitful for Arsenal in the years to come. His attacking stats are impressive. In 21 league appearances, Sead has netted 3 goals and also provided 5 assists.
Monreal is past his best and Gibbs only warms the bench and in such a situation, Kolasinac would be the perfect long term solution for the left back position
