Liverpool’s sad treatment of Sakho makes absolutely no sense. The French international arrived late for a training session, got the punishment, paid the fine but then Klopp opted to sideline him from the first team as well.
The Reds have been absolutely horrible in the defensive third but the German manager remained adamant and did not bring back the French international.
The former PSG star was then loaned out to Crystal Palace in the winter window and since moving to the Eagles, he has been fantastic.
So far, he has made 6 appearances under the management of Sam Allardyce, won 5 games and helped the team keep no fewer than 4 clean sheets. Lovren has helped Liverpool keep only 6 clean sheets in the league in the current campaign.
Klopp needs to bring Sakho back to Anfield. The 27-year-old star still wants to play for the Reds and has recently expressed his desire by stating (ESPN via Telefoot):
“I still have three years on my Liverpool contract. If I have to wear the Liverpool shirt again, I’ll do so with pleasure.”
On the other hand, Crystal Palace know that Sakho’s inclusion has helped them big time in their bid to survive relegation.
Palace’s attacking midfielder, Andros Townsend, has heavily praised Sakho and claimed (London News Online):
“He’s an incredible player and we should do all we can, if we survive, to keep him here next season.”
Mamadou is an important figure and they want him at the club on a permanent basis. As per Liverpool Echo, the Merseysiders rate him around 30 million pounds ($37million). In your opinion, should Liverpool keep Sakho?
He’s played almost 80 times for Liverpool and showed himself to be injury prone, erratic, full of errors and unreliable. He’s not good enough. That’s all there is to it.
